Getting to grips with what PDH credits are, how you can accrue them, and the opportunities they open up will help you to get the most out of your engineering career. Picking the right course provider is also vital if you want to ensure your credits are accepted by the state licensing board and to ensure you get the most out of the learning experience.
PDH stands for Professional Development Hours. Engineers are required to renew and refresh their skills and knowledge annually in many states and this measurement unit allows this training to be tracked.
You will receive one PDH credit for each contact hour you undertake in either instructed learning, presentation or study. The most PDH credits you can acquire in one sitting is eight (for example if you attended a seminar from 8 am – 5 pm with an hour’s break).
Here at SEM Train, you can access a breadth of professional and experienced Civil, Structural, Electrical and Chemical Engineers who offer PDH webinars, engineering webinars, and PE webinars.
Through SEM Train you will find a whole range of engineering courses that you can undertake online, as well as offering live in-person seminars if that suits you better. For both webinars and in-person seminars, we only offer small class sizes to ensure that your learning experience is the best it can be and that individuals have a chance to discuss ideas and concepts with the lecturers.
We can guarantee that all of our courses will be accepted by your board and we can even arrange for you to complete all of your continuing education PDH credits in just two full sessions if you need to.
